Electronic Preparation and Presentation of Evidence (EPPE)
EPPE is a digital system to replace the traditional paper-based presentation of evidence, commonly used usually in complex and document-heavy trials in Crown Courts.
Typically, it comprises scanned pages of PDF documents stored on a central computer, which the EPPE operator can display on screens within the court. Additionally when iPads (and other tablets) are used, each individual can make detailed annotations on documents within the jury bundle. EPPE can also present other and varied material, including video, audio, 3D graphics, and spreadsheets.
The Kinly EPPE system has significantly reduced the duration of trials, leading to substantial savings in both time and costs.
BGP Global Services have been collaborating with Kinly since 2012 to provide vetted and trained EPPE operators for digital trials. BGP operators deliver a professional service to all parties involved in the trial process, ensuring that the court runs as efficiently and effectively as possible in relation to evidence presented to the jury.
