In a recent ceremony at New Scotland Yard, Jim Dickie, BGP’s Head of Investigations and Crisis Management was commended for his role in the arrest of those responsible for the murder of PC Sharon Beshenivsky.

Jim who at the time was the detective superintendent heading the Flying Squad received the Chief Constable’s commendation from Sir Norman Bettison.

The citation reads

To Det.Supt  Jim Dickie QPM in recognition of exceptional and professional work conducted during Operation Geneva, specifically as the Metropolitan Police Service Senior Investigating Officer in a fast moving and complex investigation, resulting in the successful prosecution of a number of persons for armed robbery and the subsequent murder and attempted murder of West Yorkshire Police Officers.”
