Jim Dickie QPM, MSyl

Jim has built a distinguished and successful career across both the public and private sectors.

Prior to joining BGP, he was Head of Investigations and Crisis Management at Vodafone. Before this, he served with Metropolitan Police Service, retiring as a Detective Superintendent within the Specialist Crime Directorate at New Scotland Yard.

Jim has extensive experience leading complex global corporate investigations, including fraud, threats to brand and reputation, whistleblowing enquiries, and corporate due diligence.

As an accredited Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), he led major operations involving homicide, kidnap, extortion, product contamination, and large-scale public disorder. He is also widely recognised for his expertise in crisis management and disaster victim identification.

In 2006, Jim was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for distinguished service. This recognised not only his work tackling serious and organised crime, but also his leadership in victim identification following major incidents, including the Ladbroke Grove rail crash, the September 11th attacks, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and the 7th July 2005 London bombings.

Jim is also a Member of the Security Institute (MSyl).
