Foiled suicide attack, Beirut
On the evening of Saturday, 21st January, Lebanese security foiled a suicide attack on a café in Hamra Street in downtown Beirut. Security forces arrested the suspect outside the café shortly before midnight.
We would therefore encourage all ex pats who are either in, or travelling to Beirut, to be aware of their immediate surroundings at all times, and to take appropriate measures to ensure their safety and security.
