Crisis Management Training

We have recently conducted a programme of crisis management exercises for the staff and management of Millwall Community Trust.

The training led the participants through a series of interactive situations, focusing on their response to two realistic situations that may be encountered by the trust and their personnel. This exercise tested existing policies and resilience, as well as identifying areas of strength and where there was the potential for improvement.

We have found that this method of training provides valuable lessons for the benefit of both the organisation and those attending. It is made all the more effective by the use of real time scenarios, enabling those involved to experience the management of a crisis in both a practical and realistic manner.

Freddie Ruby, Education and Employability manager said, “ The exercises were realistic and relevant, providing the Trust the opportunity to test existing policies and procedures. The exercises stimulated thought provoking discussion, identifying key learning as the Trust looks to improve its crisis management response ”.

This training follows on from similar programmes involving Charlton Athletic Community Trust, and is we feel a valuable service that can benefit similar sports trusts and organisations in their interaction with the local community.
